Moderator Ronny Haraldsvik, Principle at Haraldsvik Consulting, is joined byJim Sinopoli, Managing Principal, at Smart Buildings; Kurt Jacobs, Director, Markets and Solutions at JMA Wireless and Kern Davis, VP of Consulting Services Group at CTS (Communication Technology Services, LLC.) to discuss business cases for smart building ROI

Ronny Haraldsvik was most recently the SVP/CMO with an emerging cloud micro-services innovator and SVP/CMO at SpiderCloud Wireless, the industry leader for 3G+4G scalable small cell systems. Before SpiderCloud, Ronny was the SVP/CMO at BelAir Networks, a company acquired by Ericsson. Prior roles include: vice president of Global Marketing at Bytemobile, Inc., a company awarded “Private Company of the Year” by Light reading (a company later acquired by Citrix); vice president of strategy and marketing for mobile broadband with Qualcomm and vice president of marketing at Flarion Technologies, a company acquired by Qualcomm; vice president of marketing with Nortel Networks IP Services BU, a unit created after the acquisition of Shasta Networks; Director of North American Field Marketing at Bay Networks, a company acquired by Nortel Networks. Ronny holds a BA in marketing from University of San Francisco (USA).

A 20 year veteran of emerging communication technologies, Kurt Jacobs leads market development enabling the new enterprise value chain with Internet of Things (IoT) and communications infrastructure. He works with cross-industry partners and integrators across the globe coordinating the business value and architectural requirements for enterprise, carrier and smart city systems. At JMA Wireless, Kurt is accelerating the adoption of cellular and wireless technology for both operational transformation and creating new customer value. Prior to JMA, Kurt held senior marketing, product management and business development positions for both global corporations and startup companies in the fields of IoT, VoIP, Unified Communications and Collaboration solutions. A current US Navy Reserve officer, he has extensive experience and leadership in international and domestic crisis response, military operations, and security. He holds engineering and MBA degrees from the University of Wisconsin, a former academic faculty member at the US Naval Academy and a graduate of the US Naval War College.

Kern Davis is a lifelong wireless and construction professional who truly understands buildings, wireless and project management. His position as CTS Vice President -Consulting Services Group allows him to share his wealth of knowledge of wireless networking and enterprise mobility. Kern is passionate about mobile and wireless technologies and has extensive experience to know what is required to ensure successful wireless deployments, here’s more on how they’re empowering mobility one customer at a time.
