Moderator Dilip Sarangan, Global Research Director, IoT & Digital Transformation, at Frost & Sullivan, is joined by Jim Sinopoli, Managing Principal, Smart Buildings; Ronny Haraldsvik, Principle, Haraldsvik Consulting; Scott Willis, CEO, Zinwave and Naser Adas, GM HetNet and IoT, 5G Infrastructure Division, Intel to discuss the buildings of the future at the Enterprise IoT Summit, in Austin, Texas.

Dilip Sarangan is the Global Research Director for IoT for Frost & Sullivan. Over the past 10+ years, Dilip has tracked various industries and applications for IoT including video surveillance, building automation systems, fire & life safety, home security, home automation, energy management, among others. He has written about and provided advisory services to many leading vendors and service providers in both enterprise and consumer IoT.

Jim Sinopoli is a Licensed Design Engineer with over 25 years’ experience in building performance, project management and emerging technology. Knowledgeable and proficient regarding system design, project management, energy usage, contract administration, quality assurance, technology and system integration. Known as innovator in high performance building industry.

Scope of experience includes; healthcare, corporate, education, manufacturing, finance, construction and government industry sectors. Clients have included Fortune 100 corporations, major school districts, university systems, airports and ports, national and federal government agencies, large private and public hospitals, technology companies, and nationwide developers. International experience includes projects in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, South America and Africa.

Ronny Haraldsvik was most recently the SVP/CMO with an emerging cloud micro-services innovator and SVP/CMO at SpiderCloud Wireless, the industry leader for 3G+4G scalable small cell systems. Before SpiderCloud, Ronny was the SVP/CMO at BelAir Networks, a company acquired by Ericsson. Prior roles include: vice president of Global Marketing at Bytemobile, Inc., a company awarded “Private Company of the Year” by Lightreading (a company later acquired by Citrix); vice president of strategy and marketing for mobile broadband with Qualcomm and vice president of marketing at Flarion Technologies, a company acquired by Qualcomm; vice president of marketing with Nortel Networks IP Services BU, a unit created after the acquisition of Shasta Networks; Director of North American Field Marketing at Bay Networks, a company acquired by Nortel Networks. Ronny holds a BA in marketing from University of San Francisco (USA).

Scott Willis joined Zinwave as CEO in January 2016 and brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and relationships developed over his 30-year career in the telecommunications industry. Before joining Zinwave he was Executive Vice President, Chief Sales and Marketing Executive at Goodman Networks. Scott has also held Senior Executive roles at Ericsson, Nokia, BellSouth, Sprint, and several smaller global corporations in the communications field. Scott has extensive general management experience, setting strategic direction, confecting corporate alliances, and overseeing complex operations for both large and small organizations. He also has built and grown new businesses to significant scale. Scott graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in finance and received his MBA from Wake Forest University.

Dr. Adas is general manager of IOT and HetNet in the 5G Infrastructure division at Intel. Before joining Intel in 2014, Dr. Adas was the SVP and GM of the wireless access & customer premise equipment at Mindspeed technology. Dr. Naser Adas has 20+ years of experience in leadership and engineering positions in communication and semiconductor industries, holds 4 patents and he is the author of multiple journal articles.
Dr. Adas earned a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of technology and a master in business administration from UCLA and National University of Singapore.
