Actility inks LoRaWAN deal with Irish smart building SI McCool Controls

 

 

French low-power wide area networks specialist Actility announced that Irish system integrator McCool Controls & Engineering has become an Actility channel partner and is now helping the company and its subsidiary company, Abeeway, a provider of geolocation tracking solutions, spread even further by including Actility as their strategic partner and allowing customers integrate Actility’s solutions in their IoT systems, acquiring turnkey and tailored solutions based on LoRaWAN technology.

McCool Controls & Engineering said it has been seeing a large demand for smart building technology as the nature of work changes. Customers require solutions to manage their space, people and assets efficiently, precisely and safely. This partnership provides McCool Controls with complete solutions for gathering and sharing precision data in a cost effective and reliable manner to feed into McCool Control?s overall Smart Building solutions, the company said.

Through the Actility partnership, McCool Controls intends to support companies as a system integrator, by offering them the opportunity to analyze and transform raw data into IoT insights to optimize any industrial processes through the IoT platform offered by Actility.

The firm also noted that facilities management companies face growing pressure to improve their estate efficiency, ensure operational continuity, and integrate legacy buildings and their systems with new facilities expansions. IoT offers alternative mechanisms to make buildings more sustainable and productive.

Under this partnership, Actility and McCool said they will enable building management companies to deliver various services using a common IoT enabler platform, providing LoRaWAN network server and software to manage public city-owned or private networks, under a unified, multipurpose IoT network infrastructure.
