LineMetrics and Actility have inked a partnership to offer smart building solutions in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.

The two partners said they will focus on energy efficiency of existing buildings and helping the B2B sector achieve resource optimization.

LineMetrics enables the real estate industry to acquire any kind of sensor data in existing buildings via plug & play. These insights help make data-driven decisions and optimize building operations, the company said.

It says that its large portfolio of sensors make various use cases and applications easily possible, including energy efficiency and sustainability, improved indoor climate, room occupancy and usage, cold storage temperature monitoring, predictive maintenance or cleaning on-demand.

Actility and LineMetrics said they have worked together to offer an all-in-one system, including sensors, gateways, software, and connectivity, which is a complete solution to obtain insights regarding existing buildings. The platform is based on LoRaWAN technology, which allows the transmission of data over great distances, in real time, and with a high building penetration, possible even over whole building complexes.

LineMetrics counts on LoRaWAN technology and various sensors, like Abeeway’s location sensors, connected to gateways which collect the data from the sensors and transmit the information to the cloud thanks to LoRaWAN network provided and managed by Actility. The data is sorted through the data management center for multi property owners and operators, which includes functions like individual dashboards, alerting, sharing and permanent storage of all building data and API, for data transmission between the platform and external systems.

“We were looking for modern sensors with an excellent quality. Abeeway is one of the leading providers and specialist for low power geo solutions so we got in touch with the team. The excellent quality and service convinced us and soon we were certain that we’d found the right partner,” said Reinhard Nowak, CEO and co-founder at LineMetrics.

“With the LineMetrics solution, B2B customers will be able to monitor and optimize their buildings from one single interface in an easy and quick way, allowing energy efficiency, enhancing maintenance and boosting cut of costs, whilst guaranteeing the maximum optimization of their resources,” said Olivier Hersent, CEO at Actility.

LineMetrics is an European proptech company with over 300 customers across the continent.
