ABB Electrification business has recently opened its new center of expertise in London to accelerate the adoption of smart electrification solutions in the U.K. and Europe.

ABB said that this new location allows the firm to be closer to its partners in the U.K.’s e-mobility, data center and digital infrastructure sectors, enabling the company to work closely with them in further developing solutions for these key areas.

Located at Holborn Tower, the office is fully equipped with ABB’s smart building and energy management solutions, allowing visiting customers to view its latest integrated systems, installed in a functional building environment.

Mike Mustapha, head of global markets for ABB Electrification, said: “London is a key city in Europe, where a lot of EPCs, architects and the digital business we see today are based. This will help us to develop Smart City infrastructure not only in the U.K. but for across Europe too.”

“London is the ideal location for ABB to demonstrate its capabilities as a partner and to influence specifications. With 70% of the buildings’ market based in London, we will be closer to key consultants and contractors, plus stakeholders for key segments such as data centers and e-mobility,” said David Nicholl, lead sales manager for ABB Electrification Northern Europe.

As well as showcasing its installed smart building and energy technologies, the office also features a fully interactive customer value wall, featuring the newly released ABB Smart City interactive presentation.

ABB Electrification’s digital solutions help to deliver smarter cities and the ABB Smart City interactive presentation explains how the solutions come together to support smart buildings, e-mobility, energy management and data centers.

ABB is a Swiss-Swedish multinational corporation headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. The firm has four leading businesses including electrification, industrial automation, motion, and robotics & discrete automation.
